Thomas A. Costello, 78, of Downingtown, died on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Neighborhood Hospice Inpatient Unit in West Chester.

He was the husband of the late Kathleen Gavin Costello.

For many years he taught in the Penn-Delco School District.

He is survived by three children, Anne C. Costello and Thomas M. Costello, both of Tampa, FL, and Mary K. Bond of Paoli; four grandchildren, Christopher D. Bond, Rachael Bond, Scott M. Pollenz, and Megan S. Pollenz; two brothers, Walter and John Costello; and a sister, Margaret Mary Clark (Robert).

A memorial mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, at Old St. Joseph’s Church, 321 Willings Alley, Philadelphia.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 440 E. Marshall St., Suite. 204, West Chester, PA 19380.
